What are the benefits of GLO-Tox?

Signs of aging and facial folds can take away from our other features, as well as making us seem more aged than we really are. GLO-Tox is a fantastic option for supplying you with a more youthful, polished aesthetic. While the results are not permanent, you can enjoy the benefits for several months before needing to consider a touch-up procedure. You may also receive additional benefits from this skin rejuvenation at Signature Wellness, like:

  • Restored complexion: Minimization of pores and different skin irregularities
  • No rest or rehab: Owing to its minimally invasive qualities, you can be welcome to resume your normal activities after treatment.
  • Minimal pain: Neurotoxin injections use a very fine needle, making your procedures seem like a tiny pinch of the skin.
  • Easy upkeep: Patients who desire to maintain the outcomes semi-permanently can notice that follow-up treatment appointments are short and doable for everyday life.

Am I a good candidate for GLO-Tox?

Women and men who desire a noninvasive treatment to diminish Crow’s feet, forehead wrinkles, or frown lines may be ideal candidates for GLO-Tox services at Signature Wellness. It can also be a great aesthetic option if you have obvious glabellar lines (“11” lines between the eyes) or dull skin that contributes to a fatigued or older appearance. The benefits of our GLO-Tox treatments are popular with younger women and men, as well. Although adults ages 20 – 30 might not yet present with the early signs of aging, this treatment can be utilized as a preventive option to fend off the natural process of aging by temporarily minimizing or slowing the proliferation of dynamic lines.

How does GLO-Tox work?

GLO-Tox works by combining the skin-renewing effects of a VI chemical peel with neurotoxins injections to smooth lines and wrinkles into one effective treatment. VI chemical peels are designed to minimize skin flaws such as fine lines, wrinkles, scars, rough patches, hyperpigmentation problems, and more. Chemical peels get rid of dead or damaged skin cells by using a specific combination of trichloroacetic acid, phenol, salicylic acid, Vitamin C, and tretinoin on the skin, which causes the upper layer to peel off. When your skin heals and starts to repair and rejuvenate itself, you may notice a clearer, smoother, brighter, and healthier complexion.

During your consultation, we will examine your skin and listen to your skin concerns to develop a personalized GLO-Tox treatment plan. Depending on your needs and goals, we will choose an appropriate VI chemical peel. We offer chemical peels in light, medium, and deep strength, alongside a variety of peels specialized for specific skin needs. We offer peels for:

  • Tone & Texture
  • Acne & Oily Skin
  • Collagen Stimulation & Cell Turnover
  • Skin Discoloration
  • Acne Scarring

Neurotoxins, like XEOMIN® and BOTOX®, are derived from a filtered strain of botulinum toxin type A. They work to temporarily block the muscles that assist with dynamic facial movements made when smiling, frowning, laughing, etc. This reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles by letting the overlying skin become smoother over time.

On the day of your appointment at Signature Wellness, we will have you lying down in a relaxed position to administer your treatment. We will ensure your skin is cleansed prior to applying the personalized VI peel to the treatment areas in two layers. We will massage the first solution onto your face and let it work for a specific amount of time, then apply the second layer. We will give you further instructions for cleansing and aftercare during your consultation and once your GLO-Tox treatment is finished. The neurotoxin injection part of the GLO-Tox treatment is administered during the same visit. The solution will be placed into the specified areas of your brow or upper face using a small needle.

What to expect after GLO-Tox

The treatment itself takes only a few minutes to complete, and many individuals report only minor discomfort (such as a pinching or pinprick sensation). At the end of your appointment, you are welcome to leave our Saline, MI facility and carry on with your day. You may want to bring sunscreen or a hat to wear outside after the procedure to protect against environmental exposure, as your skin will be sensitive.

Skin Rejuvenation (GLO-Tox) FAQs

Is a GLO-Tox treatment painful?

Most patients report minimal discomfort during the GLO-Tox procedure. A topical anesthetic can be applied before the treatment to reduce pain or discomfort associated with the chemical peel or BOTOX injection.

How much does GLO-Tox cost?

Our staff can talk about your costs during your consultation as soon as we have come up with your personalized treatment plan. Costs for GLO-Tox will vary depending on each patient’s unique needs. Signature Wellness takes many payment methods, and there are often specials on facial treatments like GLO-Tox.

Can I combine GLO-Tox with other treatments?

As GLO-Tox is already a combination of two treatments, we do not generally recommend adding additional procedures on top of it. This simply allows the skin time to heal and not be overwhelmed. However, once your face has completely recovered, you’re free to add on anything else you might want.

How long does it take to recover from GLO-Tox?

While the Botox part of the treatment will not need any recovery period, the VI Peel will likely cause some redness and irritation for about a week afterward. Most patients notice peeling within 3 days, though this also subsides by the 7th day. Most normal activities can be resumed during this time, but we do recommend to limit sun exposure as much as possible.

How long does a GLO-Tox treatment take?

The length of time it takes to administer your GLO-Tox chemical peel and tox injection may vary depending on the strength of your VI peel and the time it takes for the two layers of the facial treatment to begin working before the BOTOX injections. An average treatment time to expect is approximately an hour.

Will I need to follow any specific skincare regimen after a GLO-Tox treatment?

After the treatment, it’s crucial to avoid sun exposure, use a strong sunscreen, and moisturize your skin. Allyson Terrell or a Signature Wellness team member will provide you with a detailed aftercare regimen, which may include gentle cleansers and specific skin-nourishing products.
