Neurotoxins, like XEOMIN® and BOTOX®, are derived from a filtered strain of botulinum toxin type A. They work to temporarily block the muscles that assist with dynamic facial movements made when smiling, frowning, laughing, etc. This reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles by letting the overlying skin become smoother over time.
On the day of your appointment at Signature Wellness, we will have you lying down in a relaxed position to administer your treatment. We will ensure your skin is cleansed prior to applying the personalized VI peel to the treatment areas in two layers. We will massage the first solution onto your face and let it work for a specific amount of time, then apply the second layer. We will give you further instructions for cleansing and aftercare during your consultation and once your GLO-Tox treatment is finished.
The neurotoxin injection part of the GLO-Tox treatment is administered during the same visit. The solution will be placed into the specified areas of your brow or upper face using a small needle. The treatment itself takes only a few minutes to complete, and many individuals report only minor discomfort (such as a pinching or pinprick sensation). At the end of your appointment, you are welcome to leave our Saline, MI facility and carry on with your day. You may want to bring sunscreen or a hat to wear outside after the procedure to protect against environmental exposure, as your skin will be sensitive.

Most patients report minimal discomfort during the GLO-Tox procedure. A topical anesthetic can be applied before the treatment to reduce pain or discomfort associated with the chemical peel or BOTOX injection.
How much does GLO-Tox cost?

Signature Wellness takes many payment methods, and there are often specials on facial treatments like GLO-Tox.
Can I combine GLO-Tox with other treatments?
As GLO-Tox is already a combination of two treatments, we do not generally recommend adding additional procedures on top of it. This simply allows the skin time to heal and not be overwhelmed. However, once your face has completely recovered, you're free to add on anything else you might want.
How long does it take to recover from GLO-Tox?
While the Botox part of the treatment will not need any recovery period, the VI Peel will likely cause some redness and irritation for about a week afterward. Most patients notice peeling within 3 days, though this also subsides by the 7th day. Most normal activities can be resumed during this time, but we do recommend to limit sun exposure as much as possible.
How long does a GLO-Tox treatment take?
The length of time it takes to administer your GLO-Tox chemical peel and tox injection may vary depending on the strength of your VI peel and the time it takes for the two layers of the facial treatment to begin working before the BOTOX injections. An average treatment time to expect is approximately an hour.
Will I need to follow any specific skincare regimen after a GLO-Tox treatment?
After the treatment, it's crucial to avoid sun exposure, use a strong sunscreen, and moisturize your skin. Allyson Terrell or a Signature Wellness team member will provide you with a detailed aftercare regimen, which may include gentle cleansers and specific skin-nourishing products.
