How Does Microneedling with PRP Work?
Prior to the microneedling part of your treatment, a member of our medical team will take a small sample of your blood to collect the platelet-rich plasma. The drawn blood will then be taken to our laboratory for the separation process, during which the platelets, growth factors, and stem cells can be turned into PRP. For your microneedling treatment, Signature Wellness uses an advanced microneedling system to make small holes in your skin. The little needles used don't damage your skin but instead help stimulate the creation of collagen. When the microneedling is finished, the PRP serum will be applied to your skin and allowed to sink in. Once the PRP is completely absorbed, we'll clear away the serum and cleanse the skin.
What to Expect After Microneeding with PRP
Following your microneedling with PRP procedure, you could experience some minor effects that may include swelling, bruising, and redness. Allyson recommends that you do not wear makeup, cleanse with exfoliating skin cleansers, or submerge in chlorinated pools for about 72 hours following the session. You should also avoid exposure to the sun or use sunscreen and wear protective clothing when planning to be outdoors.
